How this $99 package works

Plain words. Not a contract you need a lawyer to read.

What you buy

$99 once. A traditional newspaper obituary — a PDF to print and a Word document you can edit and use however you want, including the local paper — every question they answered with the answer, as a PDF, photo pages you print, and a ten-minute film of those photographs. There is no monthly bill. We are not a hospital, a funeral home, an executor, or a law firm.

They are still here

This is a living obituary. It is not a death notice, a death certificate, a will, or a notice to creditors. Keep the words “living obituary” on it. The Word file is yours to edit. When the time comes, the family changes the tense and can send it to the local paper. Not before.

How long we hold it

A draft stays open 14 days while you make it. After you pay, it stays open 30 days so you can print and watch. Three days before that day we email you. After that day we delete the draft and the photographs. Save them while the page is open. Extra storage is a later phase.

If you want it off this site

In Studio you can hide the family page — the files stay so you can still save them. You can also delete the package. That removes the answers and the photographs. Save first. Deleting cannot be undone.

Cards and refunds

Card pay is Stripe Checkout. We never see the full card number. If you need the $99 back, write hello@livingobituary.ai from the email you paid with. Stripe returns the card charge. The package then closes. The $5 that goes to a local charity is part of the $99. It is not a tax-deductible gift, and you do not get a tax receipt.

Your words and pictures

You keep them. We hold them only so the collage can play until the hold date. Send pictures family took, or pictures someone handed you to use. If this story is about a child, a parent or guardian starts it. We do not turn a child’s photograph into a moving picture of them. A machine arranged sentences from the answers. The family wrote the facts. You can change any sentence.

Colorado

Living Obituary is offered from Colorado. These terms follow Colorado law. If you live in Colorado you can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal data.
